Via Ferrata Vajo Stretto - Monte Cornetto, Sengio Alto, Little Dolomites
We couldn't choose a better day to tackle this ferrata, which under normal conditions would be wet even at 50° in the shade. Obviously we climb after a heavy shower the previous day to make everything even more complicated for my happiness! The ferrata climbs along a narrow gorge in the eastern part of Monte Cornetto, restored in 2020, now perfectly equipped. Attention to possible falling rocks from above and slippery terrain in the last section of the ferrata. Possibility to climb to Monte Cornetto and continue to Baffelan with a splendid loop back to the car. If done at the start of the season as in our case (outing 04/05/24) snow presence just beyond Selletta dell'Emmele, unfortunately we couldn't proceed further and do the planned loop. Few signs and markers in the approach phase to the ferrata, attention not to miss it. Use non-bulky backpacks to avoid getting stuck in the narrowest passages.
