Description: Tamina Kallert discovers Denmark's southernmost island – Lolland. In the lively trading towns Nakskov and Nykøbing-Falster, Tamina Kallert finds churches in brick Gothic, half-timbered houses from the 16th to 18th century – and Danish coziness. She stands in awe before the Dodekaliths, huge granite sculptures, and meets a Berlin artist in her internationally renowned gallery in the port town Nysted. In Maribo, she visits an award-winning baker and watches how the rye bread popular among Danes is baked: the basis for the famous Smørrebrød. From Kragenæs, Tamina Kallert takes the ferry to the small fruit island Fejø and gets a bit of a perfect-world feeling among hundreds of apple trees.
