Low Traverse of the Grignetta (Pian dei Resinelli LC)

Starting from Pian dei Resinelli to Pialleral. Sorry if some shots are shaky but it was my first outing with MARVIN (my little puppy)

From the Resinelli square, turn right uphill on the paved road that leads, in about ten minutes, to the Soldanella refuge (former SEM refuge, 1349m). Continue on a wide dirt road with a slight descent among birches, larches and some vacation homes. To the left, the Canalone Porta is visible. Shortly after, near an open space, the road turns right and reaches Alpe Cassino (1359m). Continue always on the track with a slight ascent to reach Selletta di Cassino (1371m) and immediately after, a bit lower, Selletta di Muscera (1355m) from which the homonymous Alpe is visible below. A path track marked by a pole branches off to the left above Alpe Muscera and enters the beech forest where, further ahead, it crosses the Chignoli valley arriving at the homonymous cascina (1339m) among pastures and wooded sections. The path now becomes more rocky and, after overcoming some gullies, crosses a large detritic area called “Il Gerone” (1285m).
