Starting point parking lot to Bachlalm. Ascent to Schaidlalm and into the expansive basin under the mighty Torstein. Here there are several ascent options and goals. Left to Sulzenschneid, right into Rauchkar to the Tor. This time we take the middle of Windlegerkar, which narrows and steepens upwards. Many times we have tackled this steep alpine venture from Windlegerscharte 1300 Hm downhill during the extreme Dachstein crossing (see own video). This time we ascend to the start of the steep step at approx. 2020 m. The upper Windlegerkar with its steep step is quite blown out and little rewarding for us. So we enjoy our endpoint here and look forward to the descent in the expansive Windlegerkar with super FIRN! Super swinging to the parking lot with a few braking sections. Always a rewarding tour in a dreamlike Dachstein scenery.
