Description: Minčol 1364 m a.s.l. - Lúčanská Malá Fatra ... One of the interesting peaks of the main ridge of Lúčanská Malá Fatra is the peak Minčol. The hill with a metal double cross at the summit and rich blueberry growths is an excellent vantage point, even though within Malá Fatra it does not belong to the giants. From there one can admire the cities of Žilina and Martin, Žilina and Turiec basins, as well as Malá and Veľká Fatra. In good weather, views extend to the High Tatras or the Javorina transmitter above Stará Turá. The area around Minčol peak became the scene of fierce battles during World War II. Trenches are still visible on these slopes today.
