Description:
Ascent from Lago de Fabréges via normal route. A few meters before avalanche tunnels is a parking, facing a wooden post with rough sign Col du Lurien. First part climbs decisively through forest then exits to open valley. At the end, our objective appears. Soon leave Lurien hut right. Valley path evident and comfortable, no big elevation gains. After a while pass horrible metal hut and soon reach tiny lake. Path turns left through nice stream gorge to Lago de Lurien. Skirt left, then scree terrain to summit. Path seems to Col de Lurien but no need; turn right then left up steep scree to first of two scrambles. Though some books say II grade, I think it's only I due to simplicity. Continue up, slope steepens. Cross second rocky barrier, final steep loose slope to beautiful ridge. No difficulty, though airy in places.
