The peaks Bretterspitze and Gliegerkarspitze offer mountaineers exceptional climbing pleasure in grade II, as one of the most beautiful and impressive in the entire Allgäu Alps. On the way to Kaufbeurer Haus (2,007 m), the gaze repeatedly turns to the imposing Hochvogel. This hut, open only seasonally, impresses with a primal simplicity rarely found today. After Kaufbeurer Hut, it continues over Gliegerkar and along the east ridge via climbing sections to the elegant Gliegerkarspitze, then up the west ridge to Bretterspitze, where the well-deserved view awaits over an impressive sea of mountain peaks in all directions.
