Description: Today we headed towards Rottach-Egern to Blankenstein. First, we hike up the paved road until just before the waterfalls. Here the path branches off and soon turns into a well-built trail up to Riedereckalm. From there it's about 45 minutes to Blankensteinsattel and shortly after we are already at the start of the first of five rope lengths. Due to the summery weather, several rope teams are already waiting here to start. We use the time for a small snack before we head up too. The first rope length starts right away with a 4-, followed by a traverse to the right. This first rope length looks easier than it actually is and we get quite out of breath. Then in a crack dihedral 3+ the second rope length goes up. The third rope length awaits us with the key section of 4+. Here you have to look for a hold as high as possible and then pull yourself up into the slot. After that, the hardest part is done. In the fourth rope length there is another 4 spot right at the beginning, before it goes only over 1 and 2 terrain to the summit.
