Description:
The Mitterhorn (also known as Hinterhorn or Great Hinterhorn) on the border between Tyrol and Salzburg is at 2506 m the second-highest elevation of the Loferer Steinberge. It is the highest and most prominent peak of the spur of the Loferer Steinberge branching to the west from the Wehrgrubenjoch.
