Description: Mönch Nollen Route WITH JAN ADAM This time we took on the Nollen Route. Ascent to the hut was strenuous with numerous snowfields amid high temperatures of recent days. It was a privilege for both of us to be there. The evening gifted us incredibly beautiful moments of the stunning sunset, shared with colleagues from Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. Very early the next morning we departed. The Nollen Route impressed us both so much, we want to briefly report on it. The climb to the summit from the hut was not much more demanding than the approach, yet the days on the Mönch traverse brought very positive experiences. 80° slope angle, ice crusts, fresh snow but stable consistency, good kickstep snow, exposure, and ultimately the constant search for secure belay spots with enough ice, which we first cleared of snow to probe, we are glad to have risen to the challenges in the end and the tour will long remain in memory. The weather report held true, thus we can share some wonderful moments from the tour with you.
