Meeting at Croce d'Europa on Monte Cavallino
By Renzo Biz: Every year the inhabitants of Comelico and Kartitsch, bordering municipality in the Austrian region of East Tyrol, meet on Monte Cavallino at 2689 m to celebrate a joint solemn mass at the foot of Croce Europa. The meeting, usually on the last Sunday of August, symbolizes union and peace between Italy and Austria.
