Carlo and Franco started from Piedicavallo mt. 1037 via completely refurbished trail skirting the Rifugio della Vecchia then Lago della Vecchia and continuing to Colle della Vecchia mt. 2185. They continue with ups and downs to DOU LEUI mt. 2340 then, climbing a steep slope they reach the west ridge to proceed with easy climbs to the summit of Monte CRESTO mt. 2546 in h4:20. Descent following the north ridge that leads directly via Passo delle Tote to Colle della Vecchia then back down the same itinerary to Piedicavallo.
