Very rewarding panoramic hike.
Monte Ferrara is part of the Pramaggiore group in the Dolomiti d’Oltrepiave. From the Pian Meluzzo parking lot, one ascends either via path 370 or the 'shortcut' to casera Roncada (the shortcut, marked in red, starts from the base of the wooded foothill to the right of the Ciol de Mont scree; it is certainly steeper but quicker. Next to the casera starts path 370 directly to Forcella della Lama. Once there, follow the well-traveled ridge line, sometimes on the Cimoliana side, sometimes on the casera Bregolina side (visible below), to a sub-peak and then to the very visible main summit via a short but steep slope. From the summit, enjoy a stunning panorama over the entire Spalti di Toro and Monfalconi chain, but also on Cima dei Preti, Vacalizza, Col Nudo, Caserine, and in the background even Pelmo and Antelao.
