Description: The Forte del Monte Festa is one of the most important Italian military works of the early 1900s in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Inserted into the defensive system of the Alto Tagliamento-Val Fella together with the forts of Osoppo, Monte Ercole and Chiusaforte, it could control possible invasions from the confluence of the Fella and Tagliamento rivers as well as from the Val del Lago. Its construction dates back to 1910 and it is connected by a large 8-kilometer military road that climbs from Interneppo to the top of the mountain at 1060 meters.
