Description:
Monte Legnone is the last true bulwark to the west of the Orobic chain, separated from Lake Como by the satellite Monte Legnoncino. Imposing despite its not so high elevation it dominates the Colico plain, located at the foot of its steep walls 2400 m lower. Its shape most dear to all enthusiasts is the one perceived from the south, where it appears as a powerful pyramid with a slightly truncated summit. Hiking difficulty ascent to its peak, offers a splendid panorama embracing the entire Alpine arc.
