Montecchio TR, located on a height overlooking the Tiber valley, Montecchio preserves intact the medieval charm with its alleyways, squares, light stone tone and powerful circuit walls with defense towers. Vaguely elliptical in shape, the village is among the best preserved in the valley. Gentle olive hills outline its territory. Dense woods make the landscape vivid and lush in the fine season, while autumn paints the Mediterranean scrub in orange and red.
