Description:
We reach the parking lot of 'Val Vertova' where trail no. 527 starts, as vehicle transit is free (October-March) from the narrow road from the village of Vertova (Bg). We enter (7:20) the gorge of the homonymous stream with clear waters. Following this CAI itinerary and after three hours of walking in autumn colors, we arrive at 'Bivacco Testa' (1490 m), certainly the most welcoming among those in the 'Monte Alben' area. We even get a good coffee from a 'caretaker'. We depart (11:10) towards 'Segredònt' (1555 m) via trail no. 530 and after half an hour we are at the cross of this panettone-shaped mountain. Then along the same trail, briefly on 529, finally the decisive deviation no. 529a to return to the valley, finding trail no. 527 a bit before the parking lot (13:40).
