Mountain Hike Leukerbad – Gemmi – Lämmeren Hut

Description:
Alpine approach to Lämmeren Hut (2507 m). Starting point is Leukerbad Bus Terminal (Valais, Switzerland). Ascent on foot along the old mule trail (instead of cable car) up to Gemmi Pass. From here continue via Lämmerenboden to Lämmeren Hut. The first 900 Hm to Gemmi Pass are demanding (T3/T2), the route is well developed and secured. The path over Lämmerenboden is flat, then a steep section follows to the hut. Return on a variant path to Gemmi mountain station. With the descent by cable car, after 6 hours of hiking, you save the steep descent to Leukerbad.
