Description:
On the slopes of the Karawanks above Jesenice, narcissi or keyflowers bloom in May. In some areas, particularly on the so-called rovti, they bloom in such numbers that the slopes look white like in winter. Despite their abundance, the plant has been protected since 1949 because it is increasingly disappearing due to changed land management and is therefore considered endangered.
