Incredible tour leading us on the WWI front steps.
The ascent takes us from Cogollo del Cengio to Rifugio Granatiere, inviting for welcome break. Frontsteig entry right at the hut. On very impressive terrain - blasted tunnels exposed through rocks for 1.5 km can't stop marveling. From Mt Cengio back to Rifugio closing the loop. DH on Sentiero 639 initially flowy trails through forest to steep forest step holding some push sections for me. In between very flowy again. Until reaching stream crossing - here the storm early Aug 2021 destroyed the trail completely for 100 elevation meters! Had to laboriously descend loose block scree in streambed and fight back to thankfully intact further sentiero. Therefore no download link provided. Finally unharmed at cycle path in Val Astico follow it back to start in Cogollo del Cengio. Though only 1,220 Uphill-Hm and 34 km a very hard tour!
