Description:
The Gletschermühlenfeld near Reit im Winkl close to Wimmerkreuz looks unspectacular at first glance. But this natural monument is still something special. Hidden under a thin cover layer until 1984, reworked rock is visible here. The karren formed during the Würm Ice Age about 60,000 years ago, and about 20,000-10,000 years ago the rock was reshaped again by the last Ice Age.
