The Wilde is located at the northern edge of the Toten Gebirge and is the dividing ridge between Loigistal and Rottal. It faces north and therefore often delights us with powder snow. On some days, things get pretty wild on the Wilde. Namely when winter storms blow over the summit slope and make enjoyable sitting on this rewarding ski mountain impossible. Otherwise, the Wilde is a tame tour destination. You are never quite alone on a tour to Wildalmleiten alias Wilde alias 'Wüde'. The mountain is one of the ski touring classics.
