Description:
Wolf Pits is a nature monument declared in 1975 and located on the southwestern slope of Blatenský vrch northeast of the town of Horní Blatná. Wolf Pit was originally the Wolfgang mine. This sinkhole is over 120 meters long, about 14 meters wide, and up to 25 meters deep. Ice Pit is 15–20 meters deep, a very narrow sinkhole formed by mining activity during tin ore extraction. It is a remnant of the Jiří mine.
