Description:
Mount Osternig is located on the border between Tarvisiano (Friuli-Venezia Giulia) and Austria. After Gartenkofel, it is the highest peak of the Eastern Carnic Chain. From the summit there is a view over the Gail Valley and the Lienz Dolomites to the north, the Karawanks to the east, the Julian Alps to the south and the Carnic Alps to the west.
