Description:
Ostrý štít (2360 m a.s.l.) is located in the main ridge of the High Tatras. It was reached only after years of "siege" as one of the last Tatra peaks – at the beginning of the 20th century it still remained untouched. To the NE, it is separated from the Zbojnícke veže by Biela lávka, and to the SW from Malý Ostrý štít by Prielom v Ostrom. It descends to Veľká Studená dolina with a roughly 150-meter-high E and SE wall, which is often frequented by climbers.
