Eibleck and Ochsenberg are located in Tennengau south of Wiestal and belong to the mountains of the Osterhorngruppe. Both are extremely popular and well-known for their fantastic views to Dachstein, into Tennengebirge, and to the Berchtesgaden mountains like Watzmann and Untersberg. In addition, Gaißau near Hallein has the reputation of a real snow hole, which naturally affects the frequency of technically easy ski or snowshoe tours to the hidden Eibleck.
