After a long ascent in the Vallon de la Selle valley, we reach the refuge located on a promontory facing the Glacier de la Selle and at the foot of the Râteau. We can contemplate the high summits that dominate the refuge: Tête du Replat (3442m), Pic de la Grave (3567m), Aiguille du Plat de la Selle (3596m).
