Description:
The south face via ferrata runs in an interesting route through the sunny southwest flank of the Persailhorn.
The Persailhorn is located in the southwest of the massif as the first rock peak of a side ridge high above the Saalfelden valley basin. To the west adjoins the latrine-covered Kienalkopf, on which the Peter-Wiechenthaler-Hütte stands. The Persailhorn is also the hut mountain of this Alpine club hut. In the northeast, the Persailhorn borders the Mitterhorn. The Persailhorn drops steeply and rocky on all sides.
