Pfälzer Forest | Rock and Castle Hike

Hike in the Pfälzer Forest, partly on the French side starting in Schönau (Pfalz). The path is beautiful and very varied, with plenty of castles, sandstone rock formations and viewpoints. On 14.9 km you cover 567 m elevation gain, which is not too difficult. The Wegelnburg was almost completely closed in March 2019 and therefore does not appear in the video, but it is also on the route. The last section back to Schönau is unfortunately a bit less interesting, slowly descending forest path, but the rest of the hike makes up for it.
