Description:
Ascent to this beautiful belvedere from the Bujaruelo refuge. We take the busy path towards Puerto de Bujaruelo and at the foot of an unsightly high-voltage pylon we turn left. The path relentlessly climbs the steep slopes until reaching the idyllic ibón de Bernatuara. Most people do not continue the ascent, which is a real shame. On the other side of the ibón, a small col houses a plaque indicating that we are at a border crossing declared World Heritage. From there it is enough to climb the last slopes to the summit. From it the landscape is spectacular, with the Gavarnie sector and Monte Perdido to Mondarruego on one side, passing through the Tendeñera area and Vignemale on the other.
