Description:
From the Rifugio, head right aiming at a bulging grey rock visible at the end of the scree, there are cairns but beware, they lead to the wrong channels. This happened to me and Paolo, an alpinist I met at the Rifugio, we tackled Cengalo following the right cairns because we didn't see the left ones, we climbed without rope. Above, there are two channels used with ropes to shorten the descent. We took the left one on ascent but the rocks were unstable and loose, in the last steep II+ passage I didn't trust it and turned back. Unfortunately at the end of the channel a stone moved and hit my knee while sliding, so we gave up.
