Description: Autumn ascent to Pizzo Meriggio from Albosaggia
Access:
From Sondrio reach Albosaggia and at a junction continue to the Centro fraction. From here the asphalt road climbs for a long time with numerous hairpin turns, leave on the left a characteristic stone church with a concrete bell tower and continue almost to its end, near the highest huts of Campelli. Exactly when the road makes the last right hairpin, abandon it and take a concrete-surfaced lane that branches off to the left, right on the hairpin. This lane climbs steeply and narrowly for a few hundred meters and then curves sharply to the right. Here, on the left, a dirt road with a barrier usually always open branches off. Anyway, we continue to the right and ignore the dirt road, with a very uneven surface, that we will meet later. The concrete lane climbs another hundred meters, passes behind the highest house of Campelli and becomes flat and dirt. Twenty meters further on, you can park in some spots on the sides of the road.
