Description:
First elevation along the ridge from the pass near which the Bivacco Ortles stands, passing through Mantello and Villacorna up to Punta San Matteo. Cima di Vallumbrina overlooks the wide valley where the Dosegù glacier lies. Purely panoramic peak, easily reached. From the summit, however, it is possible to continue along the airy ridge, reaching 3225 m, Pizzo di Vallumbrina, in about a quarter of an hour. Access from Passo Gavia.
