Wonderfully and idyllically located on a peninsula ruin in the Dobra Reservoir of the Kamptal.
Dobra ranks among the most beautiful ruins of medieval castles in the Kamptal.
Particularly noteworthy are the pentagonal bergfried and another square tower. The existing and extensive wall remains, building parts, and the bridge between the main and outer bailey, as well as vaults and cellars, are exemplarily renovated and thus provide insight into this impressive and large former castle complex from the 12th century.
