Description: Bare Banks is a nature reserve in the Považský Inovec Mountains in the sub-unit Nízky Inovec, about 2.5 km southwest of the village of Podhradie.
It is located in the cadastral area of the village of Podhradie, Topoľčany district in the Nitra Region. It was declared in 1976 on an area of 5.4 ha, with a protective zone of 24.1 ha. The subject of protection is floristically diverse and rich remnants of xerothermic communities with an extraordinarily abundant occurrence of large common pasqueflower (Pulsatilla vulgaris subsp. grandis) in the eastern part of Považský Inovec. The reserve is used for scientific research purposes. Degrees 4 and 5 of protection apply in the reserve area.
