Description: The renovated Rákóczi Castle in Borsi has reopened its doors. Located on the Slovak side of the border, just 5 kilometers from Sátoraljaújhely, the castle was built around 1579 by István Zeleméri Kamarás, captain of Tokaj Castle, and transformed into a magnificent castle-palace by Zsuzsanna Lorántffy and Prince I. Rákóczi György. The building's historical significance today comes from the fact that the later prince II. Rákóczi Ferenc was born here in 1676.
