Description: Detailed itinerary exclusively for those interested. A loop worth writing about, especially for the charm of the Plampinceux glacier, which is about to collapse downhill. From the parking lot, proceed to its left corner, meeting the signpost 21 for the hut. After 40 meters, a right fork leads to a small road through the hamlet (yellow arrow). The mule track enters the woods, passing the Plampincieux chapel, becoming a switchback trail. The track continues towards the seracs, reaches a debris channel, crosses it on the right and enters a second channel, staying on the left then fording the stream. Continue towards an evident waterfall with I-II degree steps. Proceed along the right ridge until meeting a metal ladder facilitating the climb of a chimney (easy anyway). At the exit, continue along a moraine ridge to the top. Then proceed left among debris towards the cliffs where the hut is visible. Reaching the slabs, climb a right debris ramp meeting fixed ropes traversing left. Follow the ropes to a pulpit. Then zigzag up an airy path to the terrace suspended over the glacier where the hut is located. Elevation gain: 1250m - Uphill time: 3h30
