The itinerary we propose is a very popular destination in Alta Valtellina. Val Zebrù and Rifugio Quinto Alpini are just a few kilometers from Bormio and Santa Caterina Valfurva. To make the hike more feasible, we took the shuttle from the Niblogo parking lot to Baita del Pastore. The return, however, we did all on foot, because the valley is very beautiful. There are also many refreshment points; we recommend Rifugio Campo. If you're lucky, you might see the lammergeier in the sky, a raptor recently reintroduced to the area.
