Among the pessimistic weather forecasts for the day, we find a patch of clear sky that directs us along the ridge between Valle Stura and Valle Gesso towards a peak with a south-facing front and saddleback profile. It is Monte Bourel (not to be confused with Monte Borel in Vallone dell’Arma) overlooking Valle della Meris, with Monte Matto in the foreground.
