Today's project involves a long but relatively easy hike that we will call “Ring of Cima di Collalunga” (or in French, Cime de Colle Longue), with the ascent path initially in Vallone di San Bernolfo, then venturing into Vallone di Barbacana, climbing the homonymous Passo, a brief crossing into French territory, and then, from Serra di Raspaillon to just beyond Cima di Collalunga, a remarkable up-and-down itinerary along the crest on the border line (one foot in Italy and one in France!), down to the interminable Vallone di Collalunga.
