Description:
Footage dedicated to a nice ascent in the always enchanting Valle Stretta, in the Northern Cottian Alps, Thabor Group. We arrived on Saturday October 29, 2011 at Rifugio Re Magi where we stayed overnight (and we were very comfortable!). On Sunday October 30, 2011 we ascended Rocca Gran Tempesta via Piano dei Serous, Passo della Gran Tempesta and the NW ridge. Really very nice tour in a superlative environment, snow in good condition, perfect weather and stunning panorama from the top! Last but not least... great company! Ascent with snowshoes, ice axe and crampons on the final section of the NW ridge. Elevation gain: 1243 m but definitely long development! Difficulty: OR/F. Participants: Stelvio Lanzone, Davide Ircolo, Luciano Taccola, Maria Carla Parrotta.
