Description:
Rote Wand is the highest mountain in Großes Walsertal, where a core zone of the biosphere park is also located. Its striking name comes from the reddish color of the Liassic limestone. On the north side there is a small glacier section, south at the foot of the wall lie Formarinsee and an alpine hut.
