Description:
In the Middle Ages, there were already three castles in the Trixnertal – Obertrixen, Mittertrixen, and Niedertrixen. However, until the 14th century, the documents did not distinguish between them, making it difficult today to correctly assign their early history. Waisenberg, a fourth castle in the Trixnertal, is much better documented.
