Description:
Ascent to the Sassopiatto summit via the Schuster via ferrata. Start from Passo Sella, due to delay we took the cable car to Rifugio Demetz (on foot about 1.5 hours). From there in about 30 minutes to Rifugio Vicenza, from which the approach trail to the ferrata starts. Since it had rained heavily the day before, we confirmed with the hut keepers before starting to avoid finding the wall completely wet. The ferrata is not particularly complex but not to be underestimated, especially due to non-equipped sections of free climbing of non-negligible length (max II). From the summit we descended the normal route to Rifugio Sassopiatto and then back to Passo Sella. Very nice hike, highly recommended!
