Schafkopf Hike (1380 m)
This south-side mountain hike leads mostly on narrow paths and trails through scenic mountain forest. Nevertheless, it offers surprisingly beautiful views across Garmisch to the Wetterstein Mountains. A cascading small stream, springs along the way, gnarled old trees, and a playground at the starting point make the tour a hit for families too.
