Schesaplana Summit Assault (Bike and Hike)

For the third time, we wanted to tackle the ascent of Schesaplana from Schiers (Switzerland). The last two times we overnighted, this time we wanted to do it in one day - but not possible with normal leg power. So we dared the e-bike for the first time (at least e- for Britta, since there was only one and one normal to rent) and with it did the over 20km ascent to Schesaplanahütte. From there further over the already known steep path to the summit, where unfortunately we entered a wall of clouds. The descent via the Austrian side over Totalphütte and Gamsluggen was briefly rainy, which was a pity, but in the hut we could dry off with delicious food. On the way to Schesaplana-Hütte, we were completely alone in the evening - and could enjoy nature with salamanders, marmots, and frogs. We caught the last rain shower of the day just before the parking lot on the descent. Very strenuous, but a really great adventure on a special mountain that will remain in memory for a long time!
