We set off aiming for Vetta Bella but a cold breeze suggests folding to milder destinations. Snow despite sun still hard even in the valley and we improvise a climb to Riobianco Saddle starting to be kissed by the sun. We decide to put on crampons to reach the saddle where we rest calmly in good company. Obviously not satisfied we decide to go also to Vallone Saddle to check descent on opposite side. The beautiful wide valley didn't soften all day despite radiation, reached saddle we use comfortable tracks to the col where we decide to retrace steps hoping for snowpack improvement. It didn't and as soon as the slope goes in shade everything hardens. Descent with nice leg massage and little satisfying, short firn stretch under Riobianco gully and hard snow also in woods. Trail under Brunner snow-covered continuous only second half rest all kick and place. Better on foot less time. Nice sunny day with usual companions in good cheerful company.
