The Rotwand Reib’n at Spitzingsee is a real ski touring classic in the Bavarian Prealps
The tour is from March 19, 2021, after there was plenty of powder again.
We started at the Taubensteinbahn parking lot. From there, skis on the backpack, we walked past the Wurzhütte (past a barrier) and 30 meters later at a fork half left up (sign Rotwand). This path is also still asphalted. Only shortly behind the Bergwachthaus the path branches right, where we skinned up. From there to the Rotwandhaus on the Rotwand. Then the descent with two skinning sections until you reach Miesingsattel. From there to Hochmiesing. Descent to Kleintiefenthal-Alm. There skin up again and ascend to Taubensteinhaus. From there back to the Taubensteinbahn parking lot.
