Description:
Only the views and good company are praiseworthy, the skiing conditions are desperate. I don’t even know what the most appropriate adjective would be for this skiing from Špika... We haven’t had such poor conditions on any previous visit. It was more about survival than skiing. From bottom to top... up to 1500 m asl soaked mush to the ground (snow amount minimal anyway, rocks, branches, logs!), up to 1800 m icy crust because it rained and froze, especially in the shade, up to 2200 m breakable crust that mostly didn’t hold the skier, last 250 meters all mixed up, but snow amount too small again for carefree skiing... Long and this time quite strenuous tour - mainly because of the descent!
