Description: Bathing in the blue sea and jumping into an emerald-green mountain river: In Slovenia, all this is possible within short distance! Anne Willmes cycles along the 46-kilometer Adriatic coast. In the Mediterranean climate, wine and olives thrive; pebble beaches alternate with rocky bays; in Portorož there is the only sandy beach and centuries-old salt pans with a new spa. The region was once under Venetian rule. This is reflected in the lifestyle of the people and the architecture. Northwest Slovenia is a paradise for hikers and climbers. A rafting tour in waterproof clothing on the wild Soča in Triglav National Park is also on the program. At the Lipica Stud Farm, Anne finally admires the famous white horses and becomes a horse whisperer.
